William A. Snow, CPCU is President at The Snow Group, Ltd. in Sarasota. Bill has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marquette University. He started in the insurance industry in 1975 in the Risk Management Department of Continental Bank. In 1978 he joined a large national brokerage and remained there for 10 years. In 1988, Bill joined a large regional brokerage in the western suburbs. He remained there for 5 years, leaving to become a principal in another west suburban firm. In 1997, Bill was one of the founders of MIC Insurance Brokerage. In 2010, MIC was sold to a private equity firm. Bill then formed The Snow Group, Ltd.

He has taught continuing education classes in Ethics as well as pre-licensing classes for new agents. Bill is a Past Board Member for the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL), a Past Board Member, and Past President, of Dupage IIA and a Past President, of West Suburban Chapter-CPCU. He has been serving on the IIA of IL Education Committee for over 20 years where he is a past Committee Chairperson, having been named Chairperson of the Year by IIA of IL in 2006-2007. Bill was the Region 9 Director for the IIA of Illinois in 2013 – 2014 and was named Regional Director of the year. Bill has also been involved in community work, serving as a Board Member of the non-profit Park Lawn Association and serving as the Chairman of their Golf Invitational Committee for over 20 years. Bill also is a past President of the St. James School Board.

Bill and his wife Theresa reside in Sarasota. They are parents of two children, Jennifer and Ryan, and four grandchildren.
